In the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, he's the biggest and deadliest enemy you face.Arc Villain: Main antagonist of the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, as well as Redemption, a comic set between Shepard's death and revival. The Illusive Man considers also the Broker " his equal" in terms of influence and intelligence gathering, and vice versa.Liara considers the Broker to be hers after the events of Redemption.Ambiguous Gender: Of the very little that's known about the Broker, their gender (or, as Barla Von points out, even whether the Broker is a single person or a group of agents operating under a singular title) is not among it.In the first game, they hired Wrex to assassinate a former agent who betrayed them. But this time, we have the protection and firepower the Mako provides.A powerful figure in the galaxy's black market who specializes in finding secret information and selling it to the highest bidder. With this new area to explore, it's time to drive northward. The gate that was once closed there (where Saren earlier made his escape) is now open, since we examined and turned on the security terminal at the Security Station. Jump into the Mako and maneuver it ever-so-subtly so that it faces north. Once you're back in the Upper Ruins, run northward to where you began the area. Once the cutscene is over, head back down and take the corridor we mentioned to get back to the Upper Ruins. Watch the ensuing cutscene, interacting as you can. Here, you'll find something else of great interest - a Security Terminal. This is the last loot object in the entire game!Ī the North end of the room will be a hallway leading to an elevator that takes you back to the Upper Ruins, but that'ls not helpful since the door is still locked! Instead, take the ramps running up the sides of it to get to a balcony that overlooks the rest of the room. In the North-East corner of this room, you'll find a Hardened Crate with Hard Decryption. You'll know you're in the right spot because the start of this route will have a simple Crate to open at the start of it: you can then head East to continue through the level. Whichever route you took, you'll now need to look for the way South, which will be a side-area just South of where the two Armatures were. When you get to the top, you'll be in an open area located right behind the two Armatures, and thus right where you need to be to continue with Ilos' main route! Continue torwards the South to find a Geth Assault Drone to take down, then at the end head up the winding ramp, which will have one last Geth Trooper on it. You'll still be able to decrypt it for XP even if you killed the Armatures in the Upper Ruins, which is why we suggested you do that. Nearby to the North-East will be the Armature Control with Hard Decryption. Now head East a bit, then go South and check behind the ramp for a Geth straggler. Once they're clear, check the North-West corner of this square-shaped area for a Locked Crate with Easy Decryption. Once at the bottom of the ramp, you'll face a lot of the frog-like Geth, so take them out as you've always done. To get there, look for the ramp on the West side of the plaza, then head down it, killing the lone Geth along the way. This area is totally optional (especially if you killed the Armatures), but if you're not Level 60 yet we highly recommend you take it. You can now, if you wish, take a side-path down to the Lower Ruins. Take care of what you can as you head forward through the tight space, keeping an eye on your radar as you move forward. While you can take out nearby enemies immediately with the Mako's powerful weapons, you might as well kill them on foot here: the Mako can barely be budged from its current position. Draw your weapons and turn around to take out the Geth who approach. However the door in front is locked, so you'll need to find a way to open it. Tali, Garrus or Kaidan are also good choices as Ilos has Hard Decryption objects on it.Īfter the amazing drop-off by Joker, you'll be on Ilos in the Landing Zone just outside the Mako. Liara will have a lot of unique dialogue here what with this being a Prothean world and all, and Garrus will compliment her nicely with dialogue of his own. THIS IS THE LAST TIME you get to choose your Squad If you want to take your Romance partner with you, pick them second on this screen: this helps make the ending cutscene make a bit more sense. With that you'll get a tense approach scene that ends with Shepard telling their squad to suit up and get read in the Mako.
